Portfolio: Coastside Academy of Fencing

Background

Coastside Academy of Fencing is the premiere fencing academy in the Bay Area. The owner of the club needed branding and a website to establish his presence in the fencing community, both locally and nationally.

Solutions

StephanieSchmittDesign was brought on board as the fencing club opened new facilities in San Francisco. Stephanie photographed the new studio, took fencing classes to gain understanding of the sport, and met with the owner to discuss the club's needs and goals. She researched Coastside's current (and future) users as well as competitors.

Stephanie wrote up project plans to develop the branding, signage, marketing materials, and the website. She created wireframes and Photoshop mockups of the website for client review. Stephanie also established a custom site architecture that would be expandable for future growth and development. She coded CSS style sheets that reflected the character of the club.
